Kelessidou, Anna

Anna Kelessidou Counselor

Anna has been born in Drama, North Greece. Her father was from Pontos
and her mother from Smyrna Asia Minor.

She has studied at the faculty of Philosophy in the University of Athens
and she accomplished her PhD at the University of Thessaloniki and the
University of Grenoble, France

She worked as a scientist in the Philosophy department at the Athens
University, as a professor of philosophy at TEI in Athens and became
Director of the Research Center of Greek Philosophy of the Athens
Academy. She was also responsible on the journal “Philosophy” for 25
years.

Today, she is responsible for the Seminars in the “Center of Judicial
Studies” (Prof. K. Beys), for the Journal “Mikrassiatika Chronika” and
the journal ”Evdikia”.

She has written and published 20 books on Philosophy, six collections in
Poetry, five books in History, one theatrical Monograph and more than
300 papers published in Greek and foreign scientific journals.

She is a member of Human Sciences of the Academy in Moscow, member in a
number of Associations in Philosophy as well as member in the national
Association of Greek writers and of course in the Association of
Smyrneans.

She is married and she has three children and one grand-daughter.
